How do I register for the website?
Simply, click on register at the top of the website and provide your email address and create a password.
I registered for the site and created a blog entry but it is not published what did I do wrong?
If you recently registered to the site you’re status is a “contributor”, this means your blog entries need to be approved before they can be published.
How can I publish blog entries without having to have them approved?
If you’re a consistent contributor to the website you can request to have your status upgraded from “Contributor” to “Author” by emailing the website Administrator. Often times the website Administrator will automatically upgrade you’re status.
Do I have to be a student or facility of Cal State East Bay to register?
No the Garin Walk website is open to everyone.
I am a scientist and would like to do further research on the birds identified on campus. Can I download the data collected?
Yes the data collected is available for download under the downloads page.
I just submitted information on birds I collected on the GPS devices, the device said the data was submitted correctly however when checking the website I don’t see the birds I’ve added. What is wrong?
Please be patient xml files are generated from the database every 15 minutes so it may take up to 15 minutes for the bird data to show up on the Google maps.
